11am to 5pm: Richmond Open Studios

As part of the city-wide event, six local Richmond artists will showcase their work in NIAD’s tranquil courtyard: Sadiqeh Gah, Jim Bruce, Larry Craighill, Patricia Pintner, Tatyana Ryevzina, and Tony Tamayo.

1 to 4pm: Opening Reception for The Way We Are, Now: NIAD Fashion Illustrations

An exciting preview of NIAD’s fashion runway extravaganza coming up on September 14th, these sketches and illustrations feature the design talent coming out of NIAD’s Fashion Class.

1 to 4pm: Public Art Workshop: Open Call for Designs

All are welcome to attend this workshop and submit artwork to be included in NIAD’s new 23rd Street facade design. This workshop will be led by NIAD artist Dorian Reid.
