You Can Still Donate!
Even if you missed Giving Tuesday, you can still help us realize our vision of a creative, diverse and prosperous future for Richmond artists.
Since its beginning almost two years ago, VAR has been fortunate to count on the support of many artist volunteers and individual donors like you. We want to thank you for what you’ve done to help VAR. It is helping artists stay in Richmond by providing a sense of community, information, and opportunities to connect with each other.
This year for example, your donations and sponsorships made it possible for 48 artists to show and sell their work at our Richmond Open Studios. Over the past two years, with your support, we’ve achieved incredible milestones:
Hosted 12+ artist gatherings to foster collaboration and connection.
Established a free, searchable artist directory to showcase local talent.
Organized Richmond’s first-ever large-scale Open Studios, spotlighting the richness of our creative community.

VAR does not charge membership dues.
Artist organizations such as VAR are helping artists stay in Richmond.

How to Donate
Visual Artists of Richmond is fiscally-sponsored by Intersection for the Arts, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, which allows us to offer tax deductions for your contributions.
Online Donations
Use the button at the top of this page. You will receive a confirmation email. A letter is sent to donors of $100 or more, usually within 48 hrs.
In-Person Credit Card Donations
We prefer checks, but if you need to use your credit card, we can accept them!
Check Donations
Please make checks payable to Intersection for the Arts, and write Visual Artists of Richmond in the memo line. This ensures that you’ll receive an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes, and your donation will be available for our project.
