VAR member Kimberly Ross invites you to Joie Debris, a show exploring the beauty, creativity, and possibilities found in discarded materials. Join her at ACCI Gallery for the opening reception on Saturday, April 5, from 4 to 6 pm. Please come to the artist talk on Saturday, April 12, 4pm, and don’t miss the musical performance on Saturday, May 3rd (time TBA). The title is inspired by the French phrase "joie de vivre", often translated as "the joy of living." The pieces in this show celebrate the circular nature of life and art. The reuse and repurposing of materials - the transformation of waste into art, highlighting how recycled elements can spark joy, provoke thought, and inspire change. Joie Debris reimagines discarded objects—giving them new life, new meaning, and new purpose. ACCI Gallery is located at 1652 Shattuck Ave, in Berkeley.
