Submit your qualifications to create artwork for the Medical Respite Center, a key element of the Alameda Wellness Campus.
Who Qualifies: The RFQ is open to Bay Area artists who live, are employed, or have an artist’s studio in the 10 counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Marin, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties.
Location: The Wellness Campus will provide recuperative care, healthcare, stable housing, and dignified end-of-life care for 700 unhoused Alameda County residents annually. The project creates a national model of integrated care for homeless individuals with complex health needs.
The Work: Two art opportunities will be implemented and can be applied to individually or combined. The intent of the Art Opportunity One is to create beauty and foster well-being for clients and providers. The intent of Art Opportunity Two is to express gratitude for the funding partners and community leaders who helped realize the project. The maximum budget for Art Opportunity One is $30,000 and maximum budget for Art Opportunity Two is $50,000. Please see the project website, alamedawellnesscampus.org for additional info.
The deadline to submit your qualifications is April 19, 2024. Artists must submit their qualifications and statement of interest on the CAFÉ portal
Selection: Semi-finalists will be selected by a Community Art Committee. The semi-finalists will prepare artwork proposals in the next RFP (proposal) phased and receive an honorarium upon completion of the proposal submittal ($1200 for one project and $1600 for two projects). Please do not submit art proposals at this RFQ phase.
