Bring A Friend to Our Nov 12 BIPOC Artist Gathering!
BIPOC artists have been requesting a space in which to network and share their experiences, and thanks to Rich City we will be able to get together. Bring a friend! This meeting starts at 6:30 pm and is open to any visual artist living in Richmond or making their art in Richmond. There will be plenty of time to catch up with each other, a welcome by Rich City, and a report on how BIPOC artists did at Richmond Open Studios. The Rich City Gallery is located at 1500 Mcdonadls Ave STE A.
A grassroots community of artists in Richmond California.
Our overall goal is to create opportunities to celebrate and promote our work, share resources, and support each other's art practices via two projects:
Six artist gatherings per year let us network with other visual artists, learn of new opportunities and discuss topics of relevance to artist living or working in this community.
An independent online directory, free to artists who live or work in Richmond. This directory serves as a single source of artists in our area, allowing potential clients, collectors, colleagues and organizations to learn more about the art made within our city.
An annual Richmond Open Studios, enabling almost 50 participating Richmond artists to sell directly to the public and giving art lovers in West Contra Costa the chance to learn about the visual arts thought studio visits and conversations with artists.

We Did It!

We’ve had an incredible year, with our biggest exhibition ever, our most venues ever, and a record number of artists. It couldn’t have happened without our volunteers, our community partners and our sponsors.
We will need your support in the coming months as we look at feedback and decide how to turn an event like Richmond Open Studios into something sustainable. If you would like to help, in any capacity, please let us know:
